Rescheduled October 2026 Launch
Quote from Admin on October 16, 2026, 2:21 pmHello CENJARS,
Could a third time be a charm? the weather for Sunday is looking good. It'll be a cooler day and with the winds, be prepared with a jacket or coat.
We're beyond Columbus Day but if you've got something for that them, please bring it and fly it. We're now launching closer to Halloween and, perhaps, you've got more "spirits" spirits now, so get your Goblins and ghost, pumpkins and gourds, witches hats and brooms, etc. ready for flight.
FWIW, the CENJARS website was hosted on a new server. All of the software has been updated and there are some new features too! I did have rocketry terms linked to the RocketReviews glossary but RocketReviews took measures to put the kibosh on that. I'll be implementing a local glossary when I return from my engineering meeting in Portsmouth at the end October. There is also a new weather module on the site. I think you'll like it. It combines weather information from two sources. One of the sources is local KBLM — Monmouth Executive Airport! There's an insert image on the weather page showing our launch site with a wind speed and direction arrow. If you check the day of any launch, you can now see for yourself where we may be setting up for the day. The NAR recently posted their "award winning" sites and, of course, CENJARS wasn't one of them.
Also, if you haven't seen it, the NAR Sport Rocketry magazine's 'on the web' version has coverage of NSL East 2026. CENJARS received mention. Also, Charles Kirlew's article on his battery rockets launched there is also part of that publication. See it for yourself here.
