Real rockets

There is so much going on in the real world. Spacex just launch their 50th flight for 2022! Artemis 1 n SLS is circling the moon, ULA had a flight, James Webb telescope is taking amazing pixs, perseverance is working on Mars, the helicopter far out performed the number of flight, several core samples, and starship is waiting for their first test flight.

that’s just the USA 🇺🇸

China is building their space station, India launched, Russia continues w Soyuz

That's why I think interest in Model Rocketry is going up. As we have more and more going on in the "real space" zone, there's going to be higher interest in Model Rocketry. Estes was smart to create a high-priced table top desk-adornment called "Falcon 9", and even if nobody actually flies it, they will sell a bunch of them and make money.

Like-wise, I also predict we'll see an increase in vendors and the types of kits available as more folks migrate from low power rockets to HPR and Level 1, 2, 3. NAR and Tripoli should see increase in memberships over the next few years. Expansion of the hobby is a good thing, and I want to benefit from that as much as I can.

Trying to expand your fiefdom? 😂

I echo the sentiments. Expansion of the hobby has many benefits, including strengthening the Rocket suppliers, and supporting clubs, events, and not least, promoting technical expertise of the next generation.
