I would hope the NAR will keep all its members apprised of the handling and outcome from this mishap.

I saw the NAR item yesterday. Joe Z. sent me these pictures shortly after it happened. At first I thought it was staged or something since I don't see much in the way of charring from a fire or "explosion." Then we thought maybe the firefighters tore the ceiling down as part of the overhaul process. The news item says the pressure blew the ceiling apart? Wouldn't have guessed that. But either way, something stupid that way went! He'll be paying for that one.

Note to self - Don't play with your rocket in a hotel room. (Keep this stuff cheaper than a boat.)

It's my guess, seeing the rocket on the floor, that the altimeter malfunctioned WITH a deployment charge in the well.  Booster or payload then tore through the roof.  Reports said sheetrock which isn't all that strong.  The mess is due to all the dog barf that was blown into the ceiling.  A shop vac will clean up most of the insulation.  The sheetrock needed for the repair is minimal; it'll mostly be the cost for the sheet rockers.
