BARC Launch 29 August

A few of us went down to the monthly Bridgeton Area Rocket Club (BARC), located in southern New Jersey. They have a nice large field where we can launch some high power rockets, do certifications, etc. There are several regularly attending members of BARC that are also CENJARS members as well (Jeremy, Don, Dan). A few of us go occasionally just to scratch the itch or fly something that won't be permitted at our smaller field.

It was a perfect day for flying and we got more than a few nice flights in. Brian was testing out his latest rocket (fiberglass version of the Pringles rocket) as well as his fly away launch guide. I flew a few of my own, including the "Gemini DB" with fall away boosters. Similar to the "Flying Machine" but larger. I also flew my fiberglass "Naked Minion" which is a little translucent. There is a great picture of the moment the ejection charge goes off and you can see the flame inside the body tube. See that picture and you will double the wadding that you put in your rockets!!

And congratulations to Jiya who successfully flew her Jr. L1 certification flight!
