Wall *Holiday* Tree Lighting 2024
Quote from Admin on December 2, 2024, 8:07 amFriday evening December 6, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm is the Wall Holiday Tree Lighting. CENJARS was asked to be a part of this event. No launching, albeit a night launch would be cool. We just present some rockets and entertain questions from passerbys of our setup. If you're available to hang out for two hours, please feel free to join us.

Quote from Eric Becher on December 2, 2024, 11:14 amLast year it was a cold night, but fun. Looks to be similar this week. Lots of folks came around to tables from various groups. There was music, performers on stage, free hot chocolate and treats, and of course, the big Christmas tree. If you're not too far away, it might be worth a trip to go see, but dress warm. Here a few pictures of us, but there was a little more going on around us too.
I see this as a chance to educate local folks about what we're doing, maybe recruit some new members. And it's a little "give back" to the town that we are lucky enough to launch in. Last year I think we were one of the more interesting displays there and garnered quite a bit of positive attention. As Brian said, we took a lot of questions from the kids, young and old alike.
I'll have my Christmas rockets from yesterday (or whatever I can get fixed back up in time). Maybe a couple of other "regular" rockets I have and some educational materials. Also some mini candy canes and such. Lights for the table too.
