Millstone Scouts Build and Launch
The Millstone Scouts have, once again, request that CENJARS assist them with the rocket build and launch. These dates are:
- Friday, August 9 with a rain date of Friday, August 16
- Saturday, August 10 with a rain date of Saturday, August 17
CENJARS has assisted the Millstone Scouts for several years and it's alway a fun time.
The dates have been added to the Calendar.
I should be able to make the launches. Not sure about the builds.

Just put all dates on my calendar. So far they all look good. Looking forward to it. That's always a fun event with them. Pictures are in the gallery from past years.

This should open a description page with a button [Add to Calendar]. You can then select the calendar program you use …

and download it to your calendar. I'm not sure if the third choice works for leap years. 😜
Will be there for launch. Still 8am setup? Start?
I am planning to be there for both the build and the launch, although Saturday weather looks a bit wet and windy.
ATTENTION!
Weather may NOT be conducive to holding their launch on Saturday. This is going toe a tough call because nobody is sure how Hurricane Debby will move and affect us.
Despite influence from Debby, I told them that we would help them with the build on Friday. If Sunday, our scheduled launch make-up date is a go, I will ask them if they would rather join us at our filed and launch.
So I just got back from the Scout build. About 20 or so kids built a couple of different kits. Should be a good morning of flying tomorrow.
NOTE: If you are planning to come, the Scout Master said they would be showing up around 10:00am. So if we show up at 9:00am to start setting up, that will be plenty of time.
A great morning of flying with the Scouts today. The kids were great, and their parents and Scout Leader helped out a lot. Everyone's rockets flew well, many more than once. The winds were light and we were able to fly them high up to C motors. Only 1 was lost to the trees, but that might blow down in a day or two. We also got to fly a few of our own rockets, just to show the kids something different.
