It's that time again! Time for the CENJARS July scheduled launch. Let's see some patriotic flights in honor of our country's birthday. I intend to make some noise and launch my LDRS rocket. 😉
I'd like to take a little time to say thanks to all of the CENJARS members who attended LDRS-42. We tried to make our presence there visible to advertise the club. Neil designed a "Team CENJARS" shirt and wore it at the event. LDRS was memorable and muddy, but it was still a great time. There are photos and videos in the CENJARS Gallery under the "Away Cell" gallery.
Sunday will be warm! If you have a popup or sunshade of some sort, I'd advise you to bring it and use it. Also, bring something to keep yourself hydrated.
Head's up for the August. The August launch as been a "picnic" launch for the past few years. Last year we had a "pot luck" picnic. You bring a food item to share with the group. Last year, the picnic launch coincided with my birthday. I made several racks of pork ribs. I would love to do it again but my life has gotten excessively complicated in the past several months. I won't may promises. If anything, I will order up some of the "saucer" subs I brought to events. I will setup the "picnic Potluck" page again. You can sign-up and indicate what you will bring for the picnic. You are in no way obligated to bring food but a picnic without food is just a gathering... and in this case, just a launch.
If I am correct, CENJARS should have a new PA system for this launch. Thank Charlie for procuring it and I hope it works for our launches for a long time.
