January 2025 Scheduled Launch
Quote from Admin on January 3, 2025, 12:44 pmHappy New Year CENJARS!
I trust that your holidays were full of good cheer with your friends and or your family, and that your New Years’ hangovers have now abated. How many of your New Years’ resolutions have already been broken? All of them? No problem! I have a very simple New Years resolution for all that should be easy to maintain and that is to fly more rockets in the coming year.
The CENJARS scheduled monthly launch date, the first for this new year, is Sunday, January 5, 2025. Old man winter is here and Sunday’s launch will be cold with high temperatures just above the freezing mark. I can’t stress this enough, dress warm!!! Layers, hats and gloves will make you more comfortable in these temps. Sunday will also have winds from the west at 10MPH or higher. Plan your flights accordingly. Spill holes in parachutes and streamers will help keep your rockets on the field. I realize that some of the criteria for the ARC teams is time aloft. Perhaps, ARC teams can focus on other aspects of their flights and forego the duration aloft. I not telling ARC team members what to do; that's up to you.
Again, it’s the new year! If you haven’t renewed your CENJARS membership, please consider doing so at this launch on Sunday. Printout your membership application and bring cash — exact change too if you can — to make it easier on Eric when he processes your membership.
See you at the launch!

Quote from Eric Becher on January 3, 2025, 2:10 pmRegarding membership, yes I'll be taking forms and money. Info and form here. I'll also have some forms at the field if you want to fill them out there. $24 for the annual membership. Aside from cash (I will have a little change, but as Brian said, exact amount is appreciated), I can also accept checks (PTO: CENJARS). Sorry, I don't do PayZelleMo.
Also - ARC Teams: CENJARS policy is to require at least one member of the Team to have a personal membership, or the Team can pay for a Team Membership ($24 for the season, June thru May). As of this writing, no ARC teams have paid for a membership this season, and any individual memberships are due for renewal. So if you are an ARC team, you should address this matter soon. You don't want to show up in March or April on your last day to qualify and be turned away because you didn't come up with the membership.
