Glider
My Flat Cat glider crashed into one of the large trees along the road ( I think the third one). If anyone lives in the launch area that passes by please take a look on the ground to see if it fell out, especially after a windy day. I know this is a long shot but they don't make them anymore.
I watched a glider go into the trees along 18th Ave. to the east of the parking area yesterday. I that was yours, it was the fourth tree counting from the east.
For future reference, Charlie carries a telescoping pole that extends to about 30 feet. If you could see the glider in the tree, that pole could have been useful to extract it.
Thanks, we couldn't even see it in both trees. I talked with Charlie and we agreed that it was probably to high for his pole.

I was at a dentist appointment nearby today so I stopped for a look. It was in the 4th tree, about halfway up. I couldn't see anything and was about to walk away when it caught my eye. Hard to see because it was in close to the trunk and somehow on the street side. Must have worked its way down and in. Well within reach of a pole, so I went home to get mine. Once I could feel my face again I went back. Had to tip it up twice and down it came like a pinball. I was surprised because it was surrounded by a lot of branches coming from the trunk, but it just kept twisting and flipping all the way down. Recovery took all of 25 seconds! No real damage that I can see.
I'll bring it to the next launch, unless you need it sooner.
