February 2025 Scheduled Launch

It's time again for the monthly launch. February's scheduled launch will take place this Sunday, February 2, 2025.
The weather forecast is for mid to upper 30ºF range and winds out of the south and south-southeast with peaks of 10MPH. Because of this forecast, please consider dressing yourself for the extended time outdoors in these temps. Also, because of the wind direction, we will likely setup at the back (south side) of the complex on the upper soccer and baseball field. If you have a wagon or wheeled tote, consider bringing it to transport your rockets and peripherals to the back of the upper field. Also, if you can, we can always use help to get the launch kit onto the field and setup. I intend on getting to the field before noon.
What do you know! Sunday is Groundhog Day! Come out to celebrate Punxsutawney Phil's prognostication or admonish it. I, for one, have had my fill of winter and I had my fill before it was winter! On a brighter note, sunset isn't until 17:15 so we'll have more daylight in which to fly.
If you have not yet paid your membership for 2025, you can do so on the field. Bring your dues and a completed application, and hand it off to Eric. Eric also makes membership cards. If you have renewed your membership, see Eric to get your card.
I'm happy to say that it's a good thing that the weather will be somewhat favorable for this launch. Postponing the launch, if it would have been necessary, would not occur for two week because I don't want to interfere with those who will be sitting at home next weekend for the big "yell at your television set" event.
This month also hosts Valentine's Day, so fly something special for that someone special in your life!
I've entertained some emails in the past two weeks from individuals wishing to join CENJARS. Let's hope they come out to join us and signup as new members. Please, do what you can to help them with our procedures on the field if you would.
Also, I'm hoping to have a guest present for this launch. Hopefully, you will all have something entertaining to fly for him!
See you at the launch!
