Estes Anniversary Rockets
Quote from Eric Becher on June 21, 2023, 3:52 pmFor this next launch, I finished up the 2 Estes Anniversary rockets I recently got - 60th Anniversary Alpha, and the 65th Anniversary Blue Sapphire.
For the Sapphire I wasn't fond of the Balsa nose cone, or the 2 piece fins. So I switched out the nose cone and cut my own fins from 1/8" basswood. I also changed out the retainer hook for the Estes screw on type, just for the appearance. I think all came out well.
Looking forward to seeing them fly, along with any 4th of July specials folks bring. (I'm also working on a Citation Patriot)
