ABOUT CENJARS
Central New Jersey Area Rocketry Society Background
The Central New Jersey Area Rocketry Society, CENJARS, was founded October 15th, 2007 by Michael Centrella and Dave Statham. CENJARS is a not for profit organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of model rocketry as a healthy and educational hobby and sport for young and old alike. CENJARS is a National Association of Rocketry (NAR) Sanctioned club (#698). CENJARS is fully insured.
CENJARS flies/launches on the first Sunday of the month. Setup for the launch begins at 12:30pm and launching typically commences by 1:00pm. If the weather, holidays or other factors do not support the first Sunday of the month launch, CENJARS will postpone the launch to a subsequent Sunday. Refer to the CENJARS Event Calendar for scheduling information.
CENJARS welcomes new members to its launches. Spectators are also welcome to witness club launches. There is no fee charged to be a spectator.
CENJARS has secured expressed permission, in addition to the required insurance through the National Association of Rocketry (NAR), for the club to use the Wall High School Athletic Complex for its launches.
Please note that individuals launching at this site without proper permission may be breaking law and or subject to trespassing. Members must refrain from using this launch site outside of sanctioned CENJARS launch events.
This location is CENJARS’ home launch site unless otherwise stated. Wind speed and direction predicate where the club will setup on the field and the maximum motor class that may be launched. There is a practical altitude limit of 800 feet AGL (above ground level) based upon the proximity of houses in the area.
