September Launch Report and Upcoming Events

CENJARS September 2017 Launch Report (as reported by Jon Henbest)

Our normal launch day was postponed until September 10th due to weather on our regularly scheduled weekend, but the postponement was worth the wait. The weather was beautiful.  Sunny, dry, and relatively light winds. 61 launches in total.

With a back-to-school theme, we had a small school bus rocket takes its maiden flight and a drag race of four pencil rockets.  A few rockets found the trees but all are believed to have been recovered. Launch totals for the day included:

18 – A motors
17 – B motors
17 – C motors
6 – D motors
2 – E motors
1 – F motors
0 – G motors

Upcoming events to consider helping at:

September 23, 10am to 2pm – Wall Kid’s Day America 2017, Town Hall, 2700 Allaire Rd, Wall, NJ
October 7, 10am to ~5:00pm – 100th Anniversary, Quail Hill Scout Camp, 56 LaValley Drive, Manalapan, NJ
If you are interested and able to help, please contact Charlie as soon as possible.  Join us for part of the day or full days – any time would be appreciated.

Lastly, join us on Oct 1st for our next launch day.

Keep safe and rocket on!
