CENJARS October 2018 Launch report

CENJARS October 2018 Launch Report

After having to delay our launch due to a soccer tournament, we still had a great launch. The winds were light and that brought out the big guns.

Since this is October, we had our Halloween theme going. Brian flew a flew a witch’s rocket complete with a bubbling cauldron at the base of the pad. Charlie flew his Witch’s Hat of Death rocket again. This time it was a good example of why we have an away pad. Jim had a Ghostly Mosquito.

Also need to mention John’s Solar Express on an F67! That really flew off the pad. Brian put his MDRM up on a G80 Skidmark. Both of those were scary! And Scott put up a Quad Runner on a 4 motor cluster.  Unfortunately, we did lose one rocket to the lake.

We started a new flight card procedure to help speed the launch process. So far it seems to be working well.

We had a total of 78 flights and burned 83 motors! Compare that to last years October launch of 53 flights.

22 – A motors
20 – B motors
15 – C motors
10 – D motors
9 – E motors
4 – F motor
3 – G motors

Our next launch is scheduled for the fourth of November. We will be having our annual meeting and election of officers. The launch theme will be Thanksgiving. Details to follow.
