CENJARS December 2018 launch report

CENJARS December 2018 Launch Report

Despite the low temps and a weather delay of 1 week, the rocketeers came out for another wonderful launch. We had 55 flights and burned 64 motors.

We had several holiday flights including Mark Stevens’ and Charlie Kirlew’s Christmas Tree rockets. We also had the Grinch’s Surface to Air Anti-Sleigh Missile.

We seemed to have had an abundance of CATOs at this launch, at least 4. A couple of the rockets will need major repair, while others were fine and flew later in the launch. Fortunately, Jeff Miller’s Cluster Duck had no issues with 7 C motors all firing.

Brian did a few modifications to a launch control system and it proved to be a worthy endeavor, easily igniting clusters and high power motors.

With some very light winds, we had a lot of higher power motors. Unfortunately, we did lose one rocket to the very top of a tree. Here are the motor totals:

10 – A motors
9 – B motors
23 – C motors
10 – D motors
5 – E motors
5 – F motor
2 – G motors

Our next launch is scheduled for January 6th. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all.
