CENJARS August 2020 Launch

Hello Rocketeers,

It’s time for our August launch. We are still faced with COVID-19 restrictions so the rules still apply from last month. August would normally be our annual picnic, but I can’t see any way that we could do that safely. If anyone has any ideas, let me know right away.

We had a great launch last month and everyone followed the rules. I am so impressed and pleased with everyone. Come join us for some more fun in the Sun. We may have a few visitors as well.

These safety rules were put together with guidance from the NAR and state rules.
• Parking – Participants should park with larger than usual gaps between vehicles. We will have safety cones at every other space. Please don’t drive over them. ?
• Check-in/safety check – We will not be using flight cards at this time. Each rocket will be presented to the LCO (from a distance) and the rocketeer will provide verbal information on the rocket and motor. We will have two pads setup so two people can load their rockets at the same time. Only one person or family group at a pad at a time. Pads will be cleaned between launches.
• Cleaning – We will have some hand sanitizer available. You must provide your own mask and gloves.
• Personal Protection Equipment – Masks covering your mouth and nose must be worn in the common areas (the LCO area and the launch pads).
• When in doubt remain home – If you are ill for any reason, please remain home and be safe.
• Personal areas – Wearing PPE in you prep area is a personal choice. Please setup your prep area at least 6 feet from others.
Happy flying,

Charlie
