Apollo 11 50th Anniversary

CENJARS will be holding a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 2019 (rain date July 21). Here’s what’s planned so far:

– Build, fly, and keep a model rocket
– Rocket launching all day
– Special Saturn V rocket launches
– Space race era models on display
– Spot landing contest
– Food truck on site to purchase lunch
– NASA Solar System Ambassador will discuss the moon landings and the future of space exploration.

Location – Wall High School Athletic Field Complex on 18th Ave. in Wall, NJ

From 9 am to 5 pm.

Entry, rocket building and launch are free so bring the whole family and have a blast!

Schedule of activities for the Apollo 50th anniversary celebration.

9:00 am – 4:00 pm  Rocket building   

9:30 am – 5:00 pm  Rocket launching  

10:00 am – 4:30 pm  Hourly launch contest

Saturn V and space race era launches throughout the day, approximately hourly

2 pm – 4 pm   NASA ambassador – Displays and open questions on the Apollo program and future NASA initiatives.  Note: launch activities maybe curtailed during this time period.
